The DS-12 Toy Box is a space craft featured in Planetes television series. It is a debris ship of the ISPV-7 Debris Section of the Technora Corporation.
The Debris Section's purpose is to prevent the damage or destruction of satellites, space stations, and spacecraft from colliding with debris in Earth's and the Moon's orbits. They use several methods to dispose of the debris (mainly by burning it via atmospheric reentry or through salvage), accomplished through the use of EVA Suits. After it was destroyed falling on Earth,[1] the ISPV 7 Debris Section replaced it with the newer Toy Box 2 — a much newer and more capable vessel.[2]
